  • The last dividend announcement was on Feb 22 and went ex-div on March 1. Announcement should be anytime now.
  • As long as they say ...We are committed to paying 54 cents for the future merger,, then we break the 25.98 barrier.
$27-28ish is the new 23-26, with the dividend starts to strain hedge funds from shorting. Nasty 2 bucks last 2 years paid to me . Always buy at 23ish and sold at 26ish. But darn looks better now. BUT..BUT..BUT all depends about the next day or so before they give shorters,,poopy stains,,just sayN
  • Let's consider changing CEO's, what have we got to lose?
  • most likely announcement of the 54 cents dividend is causing price increase today.
  • Dividends are about cash flow-telcos can pay out such a high dividend like MLPs can-by virtue of big depreciation and previous losses. That is why this merger is great deal as they can use precious losses from both companies, along with huge depreciation to shelter income thus showing loss while paying out best in class dividend. It is a bargain at this price.
  • Dividend should be made public today or tomorrow,, so a bit more false flag bad news down grades because of this or that. Trying to get you people to either sell it now or at the very least not buy more. If theydo cut the dividend then it is going down a little before recovering in a month or 2. Most likely a full dividend on the way
  • Activist investor Keith Meister sees 40% upside in CenturyLink stock......
  • This companies last earnings conference call, gave nothing...as far as how they were going to start making money, or change the ship around...other than their acquiring of Level3. That seems like counting on a lot. Especially with another company that had to do a 15/1 reverse split just to get their valuations where they are? I don't see the competitive advantage with this company, when they SELL data centers? Wouldn't we want them to keep those? as business owners of the company, DATA centers would seem to be what you would want to keep?? Cloud storage and all? Maybe they had to sell them to pay the dividend?
  • There is something wrong with a company, that all people talk about is "buying the dividend", and "when are we going to get paid for the dividend?" What good is 1/4 of 9.xx% when the stock keeps dropping MORE than that???, LOOK at the one year chart people! They are NOT financially sound enough to keep paying more than they make! NO Co. is! And as far as this last pump and dump hedge fund speaker, how many share did he sell after his last nice little 4% uptick, from his speech? Activist investor HAS to say those things with 5.5% ownership of the Co. I have seen other companies with activist involvement go right down the drain ...right down to pink sheets.
  • IBD'S TAKE: CenturyLink pays a dividend, along with much bigger Verizon and AT&T. All phone companies are under pressure to sustain dividends amid slowing revenue growth, and the Level 3 deal should help, analysts say
  • What goes down for without good reason usually goes up pretty quick. Since it is all guess work and gambling, trading ranges, macd, stochastics and luck said buy CTL . I cried whn I had to buy it 7 cents over Fridays close when most of my jewels were down...but it seems to have worked out for me, may the force continue it's blessings.
  • Anyone know what is the date for their next quarterly dividend payout?
  • CNBC just said a big stock guru likes CTL and he reportedly is coming on to say why in a few minutes. I guess that caused today's big pop. Luckily, I had bought 2500 shares near the open. Sometimes it pays to be lucky rather than good.
  • finally someone in the financial community sees the financial upside with this merger.
  • I purchased CTL on 3-22. Will I receive the June dividend? Thanks
  • 22.35 to 26.04! Almost the same trade every 3 months! Buy at 23ish average down a bit if it touches 22.50 and sell at 25.70. Wash and rinse..wait a bit this time ,,but sure as Sherlock it is goona hit 25 and change. Oh and that dividend is not being cut..
  • I hated that CC, and have no faith left in this management team. They can't even meet expectations when the bar is set 3 inches off the ground. Wouldn't be surprised to see this retest 22.5 in the next few weeks
  • Serious problem facing the company . So yesterday I called to get a price and see if I left Comcast I actually would save . According to the company web site my house can get speed of 150 . I had to repeat myself couple of time like my address and was put on hold . she came back and told me maximum speed I can get is 1.5 . who can survive with speed of 1.5 . I told her my house is eligible for 150 speed . Apparently she had added some more digits to my house # and told me she was DEAF .

I will stay with Comcast as this company has many serious problem a sad story
  • Curious to see if Barron's has a comment on CTL tomorrow. I saw a short article from Barron's on the internet that pretty much said CTL's future depends on the Level Three acquisition. I guess that means the next quarter or two will continue to have some earnings issues. I wonder what CTL will do with the dividend after the acquisition if it does get final approval.
  • Very difficult to see CTL not making a big run north. I started receiving notifications from awesomesto-cks the other week and so far they have presented interesting new trade ideas.
