  • Research Alert to DAC shareholders

Clean energy Technologies (CETY) is under a penny with a market cap of under $2 million and just announced the beginning of the adoption of their big ticket waste to energy systems to giant waste industry with adoption of 3 systems by Aries Clean Energy.

CETY technology was purchased from General Electric and is attractive to huge unmet markets that can achieve over $250 million annual sales within the next 2 to 3 years.

Shares could yield enormous percentage return on investment.

  • I guess we will have to wait until the earnings announcement to find out about developments. In the meantime, the contex is still rising and the harpex is as well. Ship values for containers are going up. In that environment, i cant imagine a bank or finance co would not grant more time and flexibility. They want their money, they dont want to own ships. Cmre reported well. There was some pre close activity yesterday.. i havent seen any press releases, so i am wondering if it has to do with the drys reverse split, the 6th in 14 mos, since drys ceo owns a big chunk of this stock. We will see
  • What about the covenant breach?? We're over a month past waivers expired and still no announcement. Not looking good!!
  • Maersk called a bottom in container shipping mkt.. good for dac
  • Cosco raised to a buy at zacks
  • Harpex had another uptick. Small but still going up.. good for dac.. contex up as well
  • The Harpex is at 522.14.. up from low $300's earlier this year.. avge of basket container rates. Looking good for revs and earnjngz this yr.. cmre reported today
  • World container volumes up 5.7%
  • Container rates and ship values have been rising since late last year. This should be good for DAC
  • Neuberger berman owns 1.75 mil shares
  • Ole george from drys owns roughly 20% of this co since 2010.. they dont dilute like drys does. He is on the board, but the guy running it is in charge and owns like 70%.. that means therez only like 10% left to trade.. they have alot of boats with good contracts with major shippers. I like thiz as a long term hold while shipping turns around.. also drys is raising $2 billion dollars, maybe george will buy the remaining shares he doesnt already own.. looks like a potential winner to me..
  • These shares have held up pretty well today considering what happened to the broader mkt and shipping sector
  • Anyone would have to be crazy to short this stock.. founder owns something like 70%... Economou owns 20%.. only like 10% or less available for trading.. least bit of good news will propel this higher
  • Morgan stanley owns roughly 193,000 shares of dac

  • wow this is looking ugly. Nice short, Joeri.
  • Still no news. Time is ticking for DAC. They have until 1'st of April to deal with the debt convenant breach...

Picture isn't exactly improving; Amazing that people still pay 2.5 for this company (Disclosure; I am short and have been for a while, but won't buy back over 1).

    Quote from the article below:

    "Now what

Perhaps worst of all, though, is Morgan Stanley's prediction that the global container shipping market won't recover before 2019, or even 2020. With Seaspan currently burdened with nearly $2.7 billion in debt, with only $540 million in cash to pay it -- and that cash evaporating at the rate of $200 million a year (or more) -- the analyst isn't 100% sure the company will survive to see the recovery.

Investors should be wary as well."

Wow, Morgan Stanley even thinks a quality company like SSW is at risk... If things turn that bad DAC won't stand a chance, as are some of their clients. Lot's of rumors of YangMing being the weakest link and likely to follow Hanjin down...

  • Still no news. Time is ticking for DAC. They have until 1'st of April to deal with the debt convenant breach... Can they find an institutional to subscribe to a large underwriting or not?!?
  • George Economo of DRYS is on the Board of DAC - do I need to say any more ? I'm not putting my money here.
  • Let's see what the outcome is tomorrow.
