Ouch. John Oliver pretty much lampooned the boss, the business model, and the company's ethics on last night's show on HBO.
There's no doubt multiple class action suits will be on their way. For those who saw the Oliver piece, this company participated in unethical persuasion to prevent patients from getting on the kidney transplant list. Many people have died... This will not be a cheap settlement
If CEO was not arrogant showboat, Davita and shareholders would not being lampooning and harpooning target of John Oliver

don't know why this stock has ticked up. dialysis is an incredibly invasive procedure and the science and technology is advancing fast enough so that people with kidney disease will have less invasive, home care options. in the near future. davita is brick and mortar with older technology. I also believe the repeal of Obamacare will have a significant impact on davita profits. a new Healthcare bill could easily cap costs of dialysis treatment. not a smart buy at this valuation.
coming soon to the john oliver show on hbo free advertisement for the greatest dialysis company the world has seen. watch and be amazed. this sunday or next sunday.
Cigna. partnership will bring another source if revenue for davita see you guys in the 80s and 90s

Will DaVita Inc (DVA) Continue To Underperform Its Industry?
DaVita Inc (NYSE:DVA) generated a 14.4% ROE in the last year, compared to its industry’s 14.99% ROE. But the profitability ratio, often called ‘the mother of all ratios’, reflects a company’s performance both on its income statement and balance sheet

We are now at December 2013 price levels. My only guess why we are down 25% from the high is the imminent election of Hillary and the possible damage she might do to the healthcare/pharma sector.
