    DreamWorks Animation settles anti-poaching suit for $50 million

    With DreamWorks Animation reaching a settlement in an ongoing class-action lawsuit levied by a group of animation workers, only the Walt Disney Co. (DIS) and its divisions are still fighting the anti-trust suit. DreamWorks Animation, which was acquired by NBCUniversal earlier this year , has paid $50 million to settle the matter, which claims that a number of animation companies violated federal and state antitrust laws by agreeing not to poach each other’s employees and conspiring to keep wages down. The lawsuit was first filed in 2014 by Robert Nitsch, a former senior character effects artist at DreamWorks Animation.
