    ​Engility eyeing more billion-dollar contract opportunities

    Engility Holdings Inc. (EGL) has announced its intention to pursue a major contract opportunity with NASA, signifying the Chantilly firm’s move to become a more sophisticated technology contractor in the government services marketplace. NASA’s Advanced Computing Services contract will combine two existing contracts — one serving the Advanced Supercomputing Division at Ames Research Center in Mountainview, California, and another serving the Center for Climate Simulation at Goddard Space Flight Center — for an opportunity that is worth just over $1 billion, Kirk Dye, senior vice president for Engility's federal civilian group, told me.
