  • What do you think about EGOV? Is it long term stock with good growth in the future? People will start eventually start using egovernment service more. But is the company effective at expanding the market ? The management would be more effective if they have financially educated person in the team. They have zero debt in this market when interest rate is low. The management is developing VR and Amazon voice control services, I am not sure this is great use for its service. They need to focus on making their app and website more user friendly and bug free. Gov2Go is great idea but still have bugs and interface problem, it is also not offer in a lot of state to capture more users. 8 of the contracts will expire in 2017. It seem that they have nothing much to do once government decide to take over the site after the contract expire, one less customer forever. YourPassNow does not produce a lot of revenue but cost to maintain. EGOV expansion seem to depend a lot on government. So is it good investment ? Or anything that I need to know to further research. Thank you
  • Immovable force meets unstoppable object now that EGOV has seen EPS % past 5 Years settled at the neutral level of 18.90%. Possible pullback with some downside but also possible upside. have you guys heard of a.awesomestocks. i started receiving their allerts and so far i am happy.
  • NIC, Inc. (EGOV) trades ex-dividend (8¢) on March 8.
  • Interesting fact picked up on the web: Brown Capital Management owns 13% of NIC, Blackrock owns 9.1%, Vanguard owns 7.2% and Jackson Square Partners owns 6.8%. In other words, these four--essentially passive--shareholders control over 36% of the shares.
  • Found a great no fee daytrading newsletter, vist T0pMarketGaIners.c0m and sign up...so glad I did
  • There is a good article on Motley Fool which explains that the "forward-looking statements" looked for 3% increase in revenue but a 16% drop in net income due to heavy investment expense in 2017. IMHO management carried the "under-promising" a little too far.

  • Why the big drop today? I'm no expert, but the report looked kind of good. Plus, I'm glad they are starting to pay a dividend. I'm in at $21.53.
  • Ross C. Hartley appears to be about 74. It make sense that he would be engaged in estate planning, which would include--at a minimum--diversifying his holdings. It is interesting that, in the face of his sales of about 70K shares a day, NIC's share price has held up.

  • I don't know why the "Opa" tag has been affixed to my postings, but I guess I'll have to be known as the person formerly known as Gov-Brigadier.
  • Ross Hartley sold most of the EGOV stock he held directly, but, from the Form 4 filings it appears he has a lot more held indirectly. I thought the prices over $25 were high, and sold a quarter of my holdings at $25.40.
