    Fiesta Restaurant Group laying off corporate workers as it struggles for profit

    As it continues to cut costs, Fiesta Restaurant Group (FRGI) is eliminating 49 corporate positions. Nation’s Restaurant News reported the cuts on Wednesday, quoting a letter to employees sent by Fiesta’s president and CEO Richard Stockinger. “Regretfully… cost reductions will include eliminating certain field and corporate positions across the organization,” wrote Stockinger, who took Fiesta’s top position on Feb. 27.
