  • Curious to see what the stock does today when the vote fails or doesn't even happen....my guess is that it goes UP....facilites gonna lose a lot of medicaid $$ if it goes through...
  • Imo Genesis will have to raise additional capital this year. I heard that the national average occupancy rate for nursing homes is 81%.
  • UP a tiny bit today on much higher volume....Capital Cube cut it to pieces with their analysis but in the end called the share UNDERVALUED.
  • Did anyone else see $GEN report from http://monstastocks.com/?s=GEN ? It had some interesting information. Kirkland's law: the usefulness of any meeting is in inverse proportion to the attendance. Day trading making money.

  • GEN insiders bought at end of 2015 in the high 4's....they're losing a lot more than we are (I hope!). They have a real interest in turning this thing around. Patience is the key here. I've already written off the rest of 2017 for any upside surprise in terms of earnings. However, the business is funny and you never know what news might be reported: merger of equals, buyout, whatever. GEN's footprint is just so very big, but I think they need some sort of catalyst - or business within their business - to monetize their size and scale...
  • Imo Genesis will suffer under Trumps health plan.
  • Looks like capitulation has taken over; will be buying more very soon.
  • I just finished listening to the conference call....anyone else listen in? Curious to hear your impression(s)...
  • Well, the earnings are out. Personally I am very, VERY comfortable with what GEN has been able to do in the space of one year: refinance, shedding non-core assets and bolstering its partnerships as healthcare continues to evolve. Its numbers are astounding to me - huge losses in 2015 becoming assets in 2016. There are many caveats in the CC - lower reimbursement, increased pressure on margins, etc...but it seems management has a firm hold on what it has to do going forward. Don't know what tomorrow wiill bring, but if there is a big drop in share price simply because of a few cents here or there, I am buying with both hands. In three years this will be the PREMIER post acute healthcare company not only in the US but in the rest of the world; China isn't even close to being online as far as revenues are concerned....good luck to all!
  • Reallhy high volume today! Let's hope at end of day it is positive.
  • ROE is 87.6%. Looks like $GEN did better than the industry when creating value for shareholders
How Genesis Healthcare Inc (GEN) Delivered A Better ROE Than Its Industry?
While Genesis Healthcare Inc's (NYSE:GEN) 87.6% ROE was above the industry average of 15.28%, the role of leverage must also be considered.
  • A neutral 52 W Range of 1.38 - 4.75 means that things will be up in the air for GEN. Past setups of this nature have produced both pullbacks and near-term upswings. Ive been struggling with this stock lately. Some of my other trades have been from awe-someSTOCKS which are working out pretty well.
  • Hager has got to say positive things going forward at the conference call; they did guide lower for 2017, but again, I still feel this is all to be expected with the transition this company is making. Just look at the debt restructuring and it's a big burden off their back. If Hager can lay out a positive roadmap for the next three years, analysts covering the company may be more inclined to consider it a buy, or at least a hold...CC goin on right now, but I plan to listen to the whole thing when it's over.
  • Imo their big mistake was buying Sun Healthcare. Now they're selling their dogs.
