Kindred Healthcare Inc. will follow a "two-pronged path" as it shapes its future in the next few years, CEO Benjamin Breier said in the company's first-quarter 2016 earnings call. The first road is to continue offering post-acute care services, including hospice and home care. The company's Kindred at Home business already is the largest home health and hospice provider in the country, thanks to Louisville-based Kindred's purchase last year of Atlanta's Gentiva Health Services Inc. Kindred (KND) is "pleased with the continued growth" of that business, Breier said.
