    Aerojet wins contract to power spacecraft to supply Space Station

    Aerojet Rocketdyne, the aerospace company with major operations in Rancho Cordova, won a contract to design and deliver electrical power systems for the NASA Dream Chaser spacecraft, which will carry cargo to the International Space Station. Dream Chaser is being developed for NASA by Sparks, Nev.-based Sierra Nevada Corp. The electrical power system that Aerojet is developing will generate power from solar photovoltaic arrays and fuel electric in-space propulsion.
