Very difficult to see HCN not making a big run north. check out awesomeSTO-CKS, its a pretty reliable service. of course you have to do your own due diligence, but they generally point you in the right direction.
I see all the posts here are 2 months old . This stock takes big dives some days... For a kind of stable business its still a reit and when they make their payout it crashes afterwards .
Thoughts on earnings report?
Earnings coming out tomorrow, doesn't look good. I'm getting out today.

Is it too late to get out?
RSI is 51.88 - therefore we could see some upside on HCN but perhaps a short-term pull back is more likely before the up coming rally. I just realized that lionStackal)erts guys did tell me regarding this.

Thieves are running the company and taking most of the profits while the stock price crashes.
The raise dividends about every year by around 4%, so hopefully it will rise to $0.90 in the near future.

I think the stock is just resting, before it resumes its upward movement. Stilll a better buy at these prices.
The interest rate is going up. That will also increase our national debt. But hcn is still a great buy. The reason for hcn to go down.
Why did this go down when it beat earnings?
anyone still using this board for welltower "conversations?"
As Usual. the market over reacts to the possibility of a quarter point rate hike. So, rumors came out yesterday from the Fed that June could see the next rate hike. What happens? REITs like HCN, OHI, MPW, CCP crash. Fortunately, HCN accumulated a large credit pool and probably wont be affected by any near term rate hike very much. This all leads investors to find a buying opportunity in their lap. I have owned HCN for over ten years and have an intital cost basis of around $35. It is hard to average down on this one, but some of the others I mentioned have possibilities here. I am in this game for the long haul and take the dividends and use them for other investments.
Why the 3% drop this AM?. My DSPP (DRIP) order went through with HCN's 2% discount on market price on 4/20 @$68.37/sh. (no purchase fees) and it's still $72.50 now, but I'm a little worried about a sudden 3% drop on no news. HCP is down 4% (just announced a spinoff of a problem-division) but VTR is only down 0.2%.
MPW.... deleveraging of balance sheet, strong asset base of hospitals, rehab centers and urgent care clinics...quietly growing, with a nice divvy. just fyi, unless you only like the long-term care health care reits.

Yield over 5%. Down over 6% in 2 days on all of a 13 basis point increase in 10-yr treasury yield.
Any cost under 68.80 yields more than 5% on an 86 cent per Q dividend. It's even better than that since more than 2/3 of the May dividend has already accreted.
To me, a buying opportunity, so I did. Will flip for a fast 2% or hold for decent dividend.
