  • Is there any reason to hold this stock?.
Problem is you cant even sell it without the price tanking. This is my worst investment in the past 3 years.
I am stuck here, but would advise others to stay well clear. Terrible company, incompetent management.
  • I often wonder how Mr Pappas feels about his investment here?.
Prior to the reverse split he had paid up to 95 cents for this stock. He is now sitting on a 50% loss. Is he happy with that?. I wouldn't be. But he is in a better position to influence things. Lets hope we see some action.
  • Selloff continues.
Looks like II based on volumes. What a POW this company is.
Please JCP get a grip here.
  • Not sure what Calpine is selling. As per US Geothermal update there might be possible Proposal

Purchased and installed a production pump and associated equipment into well RRG-5 at Raft River (Idaho). The well was put into operation on March 21, 2017 and is producing 1,100 gpm. Production from the Raft River plant is now operating at 1.2 MW over the 2017 plan.
An updated reservoir model for the San Emidio II (Nevada) reservoir identified the potential size of the resource as up to 47 net megawatts – up from 10 megawatts.
Permits were received for the deepening of 3 wells in the San Emidio II reservoir. Drilling will proceed this spring once weather and ground conditions allow access.
A power plant development permit application for San Emidio II, with up to three power units, was submitted to the U.S. Bureau of Land Management on March 29, 2017.
Received a $150,000 Small Business Vouchers grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to develop and evaluate the installation of an integrated solar topping turbine at Raft River, which would create a profitable Geothermal-Solar hybrid cycle.
Began advance resource evaluation work at both San Emidio II and Crescent Valley associated with the recently awarded $1.5 million SubTER grant from the Department of Energy. This has provided exceptional information for optimal drill targeting that is anticipated to begin late 2017.
Drilled third water well at Neal Hot Springs (Oregon), which was determined to be uneconomical. A fourth well was drilled that is capable of providing an estimated 80 gpm (300 lpm) of fresh water for hybrid cooling. Negotiations are underway to acquire surface water rights in the area and testing of a brine treatment system that would provide cooling water is continuing.
Completed second round of negotiations at The Geysers (California) with short listed bidders for the turbine generator supply, and the final negotiations with a single bidder for the equipment supply in parallel.
Notable achievements during first quarter of 2017 include:

High operating availability achieved at each plant (excluding planned maintenance hours) as follows: Neal Hot Springs – 82.5%, Raft River – 100%, and San Emidio – 98.6%.
Generated a fleet wide total of 89,613 megawatt-hours for the quarter, as compared to 93,787 megawatt-hours in the prior year. Difference in the years is due to the following issue at Neal Hot Springs.
Neal Hot Springs Unit 1 suffered a forced outage on January 5, 2017 during extreme cold weather, resulting in failed and damaged tubes in the vaporizer from freezing. The unit was restarted on February 12, 2017.
  • Profitable Geothermal-Solar hybrid cycle looks interesting.
  • this stock PIECE OF kOKKEE
Always was, is and will be. Time say kaddish
  • What is the reason for the whipsaw this morning?
  • CEO contract not being renewed. No indication on underlying reason. Nothing negative stated in release and note they are looking at him as outside consultant. But this is not a planned exit. Anyone have any insight?
  • Well there you have it.
The CEO gets canned and whats the investors reaction?.
Nada, Zilch, asta la vista Dennis.
    Dennis who?. Forgotten already..
  • Desperation has truly set it.
Posting a Press Release to announce 0.71MW of additional power. Still a long way to go to the target of 200MW by 2020.
  • Who is JCP?
  • cowen just came out with outperform reading and $6 price target
  • Why is HTM always up when the market is down?
  • Zacks just came out with a strong buy for US Geothermal.
  • HTM has been pretty good for swing trades. Volume is pretty sleepy lately.
They guided for flatish revenue & earnings again; no obvious catalysts for a swing coming up.
A glance at Google's chart (Yahoo can't handle the rs) shows March has been a good month to buy the past two years.
Perhaps a lack of catalyst is the catalyst: buy while it's sleepy then sell when some anticipation gets packed in the price.
What could possibly go wrong given the ever-increasing number of shares outstanding and that disgusting reverse split?
  • Does anyone actually believe this management are capable of developing any projects?.
I have been invested here for more than 5 years. Every year I hear more drivel from Mgmt about plans to do this and that, M&A activity that has never happened.
Renewable energy should be on fire but this investment is my biggest disappointment.
  • According to earningswhisper.com, Htm comes in at 10.51 mil and .11 per share after close

  • Is this board bored? A news release about positive progress on company projects and the share price barely budges. Has everyone moved on to greener pastures? I have been slowly liquidating shares. PG&E is not renewing licensing for some of their small hydro electric facilities, because of a direct impact of residential solar roof installations in California. I am so fed up with solar and wind getting all the fan fare. Will solar and wind have a negative affect on geothermal? I am concerned from the trend. And that trend is working against geothermal, because of extremely slow development.
  • I see they appointed 1 more Director.
Definitely a case of too many chiefs not enough Indians...
    I make the workers headcout=45, Directors=8.
No wonder they cant advance any projects, not enough workers. As the directors all get free stocks thats a real negative for us investors.
