With monetary policy options running low and income inequality fueling populist movements, one suggestion to propel growth keeps coming up: Infrastructure investments. The world’s top policymakers and economic minds have been hashing out ways to boost the world’s anemic growth prospects at the International Monetary Fund/World Bank annual meeting this week in Washington. This year, investors have made money on the prospects for construction projects: the EGShares India Infrastructure exchange-traded fund (INXX) is up more than 16%, and the iShares Emerging Markets Infrastructure ETF (EMIF) is up 13%. India's engineering and construction giant Larsen & Toubro (LTOD.UK and 500510.India) is up 13%.
