India's IOC sees growth in gasoline, diesel sales in FY2024/2025

India's top refiner Indian Oil Corp expects its gasoline sales to rise 4.5%-5% in the financial year ending on March 31, 2025, the company's head of marketing said on Tuesday. "We are seeing a steady growth in MS (gasoline) sales," Satish Kumar Vaduguri told reporters on the sidelines of the India Energy Week conference. The company's diesel sales are expected to climb 3% over the same financial year, he said.

Indian Oil Corp swings to Q1 profit on higher marketing margins

BENGALURU (Reuters) -Indian Oil Corp Ltd (IOC) reported a first-quarter profit on Friday, as the country's top refiner benefited from higher fuel sales and marketing margins. The state-owned company's net profit was 137.50 billion rupees ($1.67 billion) for the quarter ended June 30, compared with a loss of 19.93 billion rupees, a year earlier. The company said its gross refining margin, or profit from converting a barrel of oil into refined products, was $8.34 per barrel in the first quarter, compared with $31.81 per barrel a year earlier.

UAE'S ADNOC Gas agrees $7 billion-$9 billion 14-year LNG agreement with Indian Oil Corp -statement

Abu Dhabi's ADNOC Gas on Tuesday announced a 14-year $7 billion-$9 billion deal with Indian Oil Corp to supply 1.2 million metric tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year, ADNOC said in a statement. The deal was signed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) last week, IOC said in a statement issued on Monday, adding that India's trade treaty with the UAE enables it to import LNG without paying a 2.5% import tax.

Indian Oil signs long term LNG import deals with ADNOC LNG, TotalEnergies

Indian Oil Corp, the country's top refiner, has signed long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) import deals with United Arab Emirates' s Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Co Ltd (ADNOC LNG) and France's TotalEnergies. The two deals were signed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Visit to France and UAE last week. Supplies under the two deals would commence from 2026, the Indian company said in two separate statements.

Indian refiners have begun paying for some oil imports from Russia in Chinese yuan, sources with direct knowledge of the matter said, as Western sanctions force Moscow and its customers to find alternatives to the dollar for settling payments. Western punishments over Russia's invasion of Ukraine have shifted global trade flows for its top export, with India emerging as the largest buyer of seaborne Russian oil even as it casts about for how to pay for it amid shifting sanctions. The U.S. dollar has long been the main global oil currency, including for purchases by India, but now the yuan is playing an increasingly important role in Russia's financial system because Moscow has been frozen out of the dollar and euro financial networks by international sanctions.

Indian Oil posts first profit increase in five quarters as crude prices cool

BENGALURU (Reuters) -Indian Oil Corp Ltd (IOC), the country's top refiner, reported its first rise in profit in five quarters on Tuesday, as cooling crude prices bolstered its refining margins, sending its shares to their highest in more than one year. The state-owned company's profit rose to 100.59 billion rupees ($1.23 billion) in the January-to-March quarter, from 60.22 billion rupees a year earlier. Analysts had, on average, expected profit to drop to 59.28 billion rupees, according to Refinitiv IBES data.

Indian Oil to recoup most dues from Go First through bank guarantees - sources

Indian Oil Corp will recoup $61.14 million of jet fuel sales to cash-strapped Go First by cashing in bank guarantees and is optimistic it will recover a further $6.11 million for unsecured sales made in the past few months, sources said. IOC, the country's largest fuel retailer, was the sole supplier of jet fuel to low-cost carrier Go First, which filed for bankruptcy protection on Tuesday, blaming "faulty" Pratt & Whitney engines for the grounding of about half its fleet. Jet fuel sales by Indian retailers to airlines are typically backed by bank guarantees provided by the buyers.
