Lumentum: Jefferies Ups 3-D Sensing View; Oclaro 'Not For Sale'

One of the major trade shows of the fiber optic world is taking place this week in the Los Angeles Convention Center, the The Optical Networking and Communication Conference & Exhibition, or simply “OFC,” as it’s known, and several Wall Street observers have been at the show and are now reporting back their findings. Today James Kisner of Jefferies & Co. weighs in, writing that the big feature of the show is technology for so-called “3-D sensing,” something that is expected to come to Apple’s (AAPL) next iPhone, many believe. "While the data points around 3D were sometimes conflicting, on balance we think they were positive." He raises his price target on shares of Lumentum to $62 from $56, and reiterates a Buy rating, after raising his estimate for Lumentum’s profit per share in 2018 to $5 from $4.85.
