Plains All American Pipeline LP (PAA) announced plans to boost capacity along a 310-mile pipeline that moves crude oil from the Permian Basin to refineries and storage terminals in Three Rivers, the Port of Corpus Christi and Houston. The Houston-based midstream company announced Wednesday morning that its Cactus Pipeline will soon be able to move 390,000 barrels of crude oil per day from the Permian Basin town of McCamey to the Eagle Ford town of Gardendale, which is located an hour and a half south of San Antonio in La Salle County. Setting a target date in the third quarter of 2017, the expansion plans include enhancing manifold and metering capabilities at the 20-inch pipeline's origination station in the Permian Basin.
