Omnicom Group wins and the Publicis Groupe loses in the watershed McDonald's agency review that began last spring and ended today. The McDonald's advertising business, worth an estimated $1 billion in billings, could be a goldmine for Omnicom, although McDonald's is said to have negotiated a tough contract that will, to some degree, tie the agency payout to the performance of the advertising done by the new entity. Omnicom (OMC) will set up a new shop in Chicago specifically dedicated to developing advertising for McDonald's, which is moving its global headquarters from Oak Brook, Illinois to Chicago in early 2018.

MSLGROUP surpassed all other public relations agencies in the competition. The only other organization to achieve more was South Korean advertising agency HS Ad, the winner of the Grand Stevie Award trophy for Most Honored Marketing Agency of the Year. The awards will be presented at The 13th Annual International Business Awards banquet at the Rome Cavalieri Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in Rome, Italy on 21 October.
