This little chipmaker could eventually be crushed by the world’s biggest maker of mobile chips: Qualcomm.
Tech news last week revolved around the Wannacry ransomware attack that affected Microsoft's (MSFT) Windows PCs, Alphabet's I/O developers conference, the EU's decision to fine Facebook (FB) over misstatements in its WhatsApp merger application and Qualcomm's (QCOM) decision to sue Apple (AAPL) suppliers.
Unlike its 2011 patent deal with Nokia, Apple's latest settlement with the company makes no mention of royalties. That likely has a lot to do with its battle with Qualcomm.
