Reliance Infrastructure Limited, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the generation, transmission, distribution, and trading of electricity in India. It operates through four segments: Power; Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) and Contracts; Infrastructure; and Cement. The company owns and operates a 500 MW thermal power station at Dahanu, a 220 MW combined cycle power plant at Samalkot, a 48 MW combined cycle power plant at Mormugao, a 9.39 MW wind-farm at Chitradurga, and a 165 MW naphtha based combined cycle power station at Kochi; transmits power through its transmission networks in the States of Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Himachal Pradesh; and distributes power to approximately 64 lakh consumers in Mumbai and Delhi. Its high tension cable network comprises 4,380 kilometers; low tension cable network includes 6,100 kilometers; installed capacity of power transformers consist of 3,341 MVA; and installed capacity of distribution transformers comprises 4,804 MVA with 6,300 sub-stations. The company also engages in the provision of integrated design, engineering, procurement, and project management services for coal-based thermal and gas-power projects, transmission lines, and infrastructure projects; development, operation, and maintenance of toll roads, metro rail transit system, and airports; and real estate business. In addition, it is involved in the exploration and production of coal bed methane in Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Rajasthan; and oil and gas in Mizoram. Further, it manufactures and sells various types of cements, limestone, clinkers, and other by-products; and operates in the defense sector. The company was incorporated in 1929 and is based in Navi Mumbai, India.
