Description

SGL Carbon SE, together with its subsidiaries, manufactures and sells carbon and graphite products in Germany, the Asia Pacific/Middle East, rest of Europe, and North America. The company operates through two segments, Composites-Fibers & Materials; and Graphite Materials & Systems. It provides process solutions for the chemical and related industries; and equipment solutions, such as graphite and silicon carbide heat exchangers, special heat exchangers, quenchers, pumps, rupture disks, piping products, expansion joints/bellows, dip and intel pipes, liners and lining services, and supplementary components, as well as columns, reactors, and vessels. The company also offers fine grain graphite products under the SIGRAFINE brand name for photovoltaic, semiconductor, mechanical engineering, chemical and petrochemical, electrical discharge machining, metal, automotive, and glass and refractory industries, as well as for high temperature furnaces and wind energy generators. In addition, it provides expanded graphite products under the SIGRAFLEX name for chemical and petrochemical, mechanical engineering, energy storage, automotive, construction and HVAC, and thermal management industries, as well as for high temperature furnaces. Further, the company offers carbon fiber-reinforced carbon and felt products under the SIGRABOND and SIGRATHERM names for photovoltaic, semiconductor, glass and refractory, chemical and petrochemical, and energy storage industries, as well as for high temperature furnaces; carbon fibers under the PANOX, SIGRAFIL, and RECAFIL names; and composite materials and components under the SIGRAPREG, REFRASIL, and SIGRACOMP names. It also provides fuel cell components under the SIGRACET name; and ceramic composites under the SIGRASIC name. SGL Carbon SE was founded in 1878 and is headquartered in Wiesbaden, Germany.
