    Telstra Tumbles On Weak 2017 Outlook

    Telstra (TLS.Australia/TLSYY) tumbled 4.7% on Thursday after the Australian telecom operator's first-half earnings came in below Street expectations and its management sounded a cautious tone on its fiscal year 2017 outlook. Telstra saw little overall growth in the first-half of fiscal year 2017 (ending December). Revenue was flat and its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, or EBITDA, gained only 1.7% from a year ago to $5.36 billion Australian dollars.
