The U.S. Department of Transportation will not grant American Airlines’ application for a new daytime route between Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Tokyo Haneda, despite an effort by Toyota to lobby for the flight. Instead, the department granted the additional Haneda route to Delta Air Lines, which will fly from its hub at Minneapolis. Haneda is a preferred airport for many travelers because it's closer to downtown Tokyo than Narita Airport.
