United Airlines' dragging incident pulls down carrier's consumer perception metrics to historic lows - Chicago Business Journal
United Airlines took a major brand perception hit in the wake of David Dao being dragged from United Express Flight 3411 on April 9.
Flights to China via united are really cheap, not sure how the China market will effect earnings, only time will tell.
As an investor of United with it hitting new all-time highs most every day and continuing with solid performance, I feel almost obliged to re-elect Munoz and the board
this is unbelievable. never thought it would get here till end of summer. this is like a 200 mph tailwind
Short everything for the rest of the year.
does anyone even remember david dao? I thought so.
Sold. I am out.
And down it comes crashing
Short oil long Airlines is the Yrump trade for the rest of this decade. If your short don't expect anything more then a 5 tp 10 cent correction anytime this week. Watson is controling the airlines for huge up lift.
Short squeeze to 100 this month in the airplane monopoly money machine...
Don't get fooled. The Russians and the Saudis will "agree' to curtail oil production and oil prices will rise for three days before resuming their true downward trend that reflects economic reality. In the next three days UAL may lose 3-5 points. However by the end of the third day a big recovery will occur. On Friday May 19 the stock will close at 77.9. Summer travel, on line booking, plenty of planes and pilots, declining fuel prices all suggest this stock will be worth close to 87 by July 15.Just watch.
I already said, the customer accident doesn't matter at all. Investors don't care.
That incident was the best thing to ever happen to UAL
United Continental Holdings has bad management with no integrity, terrible services and worst investment. Do not catch a falling knife. The former UAL CEO Jeff Smisek was for granting a $37 million severance package, after he and his cronies were ousted in a bribery scandal. UAL shareholders are holding bags. Do not invest in UAL.
Republic of Texas
Any passenger refusing to buy a UAL ticket because of what they did then turnaround and pay twice on another airline is stupid.
oil price is rising how much will that affect the earning？
Did someone say new all time high tomorrow?
Stock is going up presently, but much like the old Chinese doctor that got lifted up and sumo suplexed, it's going to drop and get smashed like his face.
These results prove the thesis "there's no such thing as bad PR"
