Four places you can try Brown-Forman's new bourbon

Coopers' Craft, a new bourbon from Louisville-based Brown-Forman Corp. (BF-B) is hitting the market locally in July. This is the first new bourbon from the company since it started making Woodford Reserve in 1996. The company will host a launch tasting event at Liquor Barn Springhurst, 4301 Towne Center Drive, tomorrow from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. According to Andrea Duvall, the brand's PR manager, samples will be available, along with cupcakes topped with a Coopers' Craft infused icing and a barrel-related demonstration.

This new Kentucky-made whiskey tastes a little like beer

Woodford Reserve is adding another release to the "Distillery Series" line it launched last year: Five Malt whiskey will be available at select Kentucky retailers, starting June 16. This series, which has so far included Double Double Oak, Sweet Mash and Frosty Four Wood, aims to showcase the Versailles-area distillery's creativity. Yesterday, Woodford Reserve master distiller Chris Morris hosted a small group at the distillery for a tasting event.
