    Bullseye! Carolina Square developers confirm Chapel Hill project’s first retailers

    It’s been one of the worst kept secrets in town, but developers of the Carolina Square mixed-use project have confirmed that a lease has been signed with Target Corp. to be the retail anchor for the $123 million Franklin Street project. Target (TGT) will be opening one of its first “flexible format” stores in North Carolina at Carolina Square with a 21,000-square-foot store that’s expected to open with the project’s first building in summer 2017. Along with Target, restaurant operators for Pieology, a made-to-order pizza restaurant, and B.Good, a farm-to-table deli and fast food chain, have also signed deals to open new locations at Carolina Square.
