Ever since Reston-based Leidos Holding Inc. (LDOS) announced in January that it was going to merge with Lockheed Martin Corp.’s (LMT) government services IT business to become a $10 billion giant, several of its smaller competitors have said they feel no pressure to make similar deals for scale. The latest to say it isn't interested in that type of M&A is Arlington-based CACI International Inc. (CACI). "I like the size that we’re at now,” CEO Ken Asbury said at an investor conference in New York last week.

Kettler, along with Meridian Group executives, on Monday hosted a ceremonial demolition event (the wrecking ball was quiet on this day) for The Boro, the 4.2 million-square-foot transformation of the 18-acre SAIC campus near the Greensboro Metro station. The first phase of the project alone, at 1.7 million square feet, will roughly match Kettler’s largest project ever.
