'Team Yahoo' is doing everything to create the appearance of alternatives to Microsoft's bid. But talk of a combination with News Corp. is likely just that -- talk, although Rupert Murdoch would love to offload MySpace for $10 billion.
wow i thought i was the only one who noticed that!
Yahoo have what it takes...they are just slow out of the blocks but watch them go once they hit their stride. Stay strong guys!
I say don't give in to the greedy corporate world. I would'nt sell it Microgay or Nerds Corp.
Microsoft buying Yahoo is inevitable... I love it! This makes the most sense to shareholders. Yahoo has been in steady decline. Microsoft can leverage the Yahoo brand / traffick with their superior search technology to create a legitamite competitor to google and eventually overtake them. Think Netscape! This is what investors want... a nice return. And since Yahoo is 71% owned by institutions, most of which also own even more of msft shares, it would be easy for msft to get the votes since they may have to go hostile. This is the only option that really makes sense! Aloha!!!
Rupert Murdoch is an old/unmoral/idiot tycoon (see his ugly-money-grubbing-wh0re wife) whose ultra conservative views (i.e. FOX) must not be allow to exists at Yahoo. Jerry Yang would be a forever label an Asian sell out to the Asian community if he partners Yahoo with News Corp.
I love YAHOO!.... the internet is colorful with its input. Google and Microsoft are great but not exactly entertaining on a daily basis. Long live YAHOO! I have a hotmail account too which is the best and easieast for around the world use....and msn is fun too. Google is my no 1 search of course. Still I love YAHOO! Msft in charge could be very dull!! Beware!
Situation bit trouble to Yahoo.MSFT always and ever they are the Legends in Internet Business. So,Better Shake your Hands with them and Get more benifit,This is my personal Openion. They are potentially Stronger than others.I want to see www.MiYahoo.com......

yahoo has a better messenger and I like their whole appeal. Much better than MSN and I don't trust google, never use it.
I believe yahoo is and has been the best entertainment portal on the internet over the last few years and will continue to succeed as such, unless mr softie gets its very big hands on.....oh dear!
Yahoo is my fvavorite search engine. I use it exclusively!! I love how I can type in just about any phrase and find exactly what I'm looking for!!!
I would stop using Yahoo, period, if Murdoch bought the company.
Seems that Microsoft wants to take over the world again. Yahoo is a great search engine just by itself. I use it everyday, I really like their news page and finance. I really don't care for MSN. I think Yahoo should be 1st place, but who knows huh. The way how things are changing moment by moment.
A Microsoft and Yahoo! merger dosn't make sense. Microsoft already has MSN, Hotmail, Live and even the Windows software. What would it gain with Yahoo!? Microsoft only needs to upgrade its Live Search features by hiring more engineers to compete with Google and in a couple of years it would have a market share of search capabilities close to Google's. If News Corp bought Yahoo!, it would be a much better deal becuse it would increase the number of online ads along with MySpace.
I use yachoo, not google or microsoft, all time.
There i probaly good business synergy; however, the YHOO board seems driven to screw it up. They lack the honesty and integrity to admit someone else could grow the company. Lead, follow or get the frig out the way.
Interesting commentary (particularly by the Gen XY who don't know how to spell or compose a sentence). At any rate, I concur with other posters--it would benefit Yahoo immensely to partner with Microsoft, but they need to get their (Jerry??) egos out of the way....
Long live Yahoo! Microsoft will destroy your image.... Yahoo! Forever....

I love how Henry faces his Starbucks cup's logo forward, as if his snobbish banter wasn't conceited enough.
