Rivalry, What Rivalry?

Do you miss the juicy software wars of the 1990s, with Larry (Ellison) and Tom (Siebel) taking potshots at each other? Ultimately, Oracle spent some $20 billion buying up most of its rivals. But the next great soft-war may be between NetSuite and Salesforce.com. In this piece, NetSuite CEO Zach Nelson had some fascinating things to say when I asked him about Salesforce's outspoken chief executive Marc Benioff. Let the sparring begin!

The 2006 "apples to apples" revenue comparison is highly dubious. Netsuite's FY ends in Dec., Salesforce.com's in Jan. Same year, +/-11 months.
