Do you miss the juicy software wars of the 1990s, with Larry (Ellison) and Tom (Siebel) taking potshots at each other? Ultimately, Oracle spent some $20 billion buying up most of its rivals. But the next great soft-war may be between NetSuite and Salesforce.com. The 2006 "apples to apples" revenue comparison is highly dubious. Netsuite's FY ends in Dec., Salesforce.com's in Jan. Same year, +/-11 months.
