Austin, Texas is so over it's not even funny. The town now produces no music whatsoever. If you drive through the town the radio stations play the most tense shallow noise. The town is tense. There is now an ironclad yuppy hierarchy, not anarchy, ha! The cost of living is too high. the bottom line is that the art is gone. I don't think its coming back. Listen to the video: "its ramping up... how much cash we have." Tense. Shallow. SXSW is a privately owned for-profit conference that relies on volunteer labor. Every year, after the conference ends the owners go to a private place and count their money.
Just wandered in. Damn, is tech ticker always this bad? My Cox connect can't stop freezing and sneezing. Should DL aboout 1 meg/sec. The content provider should get pissed at yahoo. Oh, and the post sequence is assbackwards because noone gives a scrape about an $ opinion 3 hours old. Must be a yahoo-thing.
No viewing problems here. Perhaps it's because Cox sucks... well, you know. However SXSW is run, it continues to be an inspirational event. Getting all of those hi-tech brains in one place begins an innovation wave that is still felt years later. Unfortunately I missed SXSW this year, so I'll have to wait until the wave hits me along with everyone else that was stuck in the snow.
Comment number two is a hater cause he wasnt invited to events and partyies this year. Austin Texas Rocks!! This town pumps out Great Music. Next year "Finance User" do EVERYONE a big favor and stay home.
Slappy, what the hell are you talking about

Internet Startups, configuring new, faster and more global far-reaching instantaneous technologies to market ones Wares.
