It's important to get in the news (maybe at a cool event like SxSW?) if you are seeking to be acquired for millions of dollars. (iPhone street interview on 3/14) Anyhow, check this out from 3/17. ....... o Report: Google, Microsoft May Make Offers for S.F.-Based Digg San Francisco -- Digg, the San Francisco-based social news aggregation site that lets users vote on what they think are the most important news stories, is working with investment bank Allen & Co. to set up a possible sale, with Mountain View-based Google and Microsoft among likely suitors, TechCrunch reported. Google would likely bid $200-$225 million, while Microsoft -- which has a three-year ad deal in place with Digg -- is expected to offer less. Meanwhile, two other media companies also are reportedly in the running. TechCrunch, citing a source close to the deal, said that both Google and Microsoft are "on the verge" of making their offers for Digg. http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/03/07/google-microsoft-bidding-for-digg/ http://www.digg.com
