After nine years in China, British supermarket firm Tesco is to fold its unprofitable operation into a state-run company as a minority partner, becoming the latest foreign retailer to give up on trying to crack China on its own. Senior Yemeni officials say at least seven Saudi Arabian militants were among those killed in the wave of U.S. drone strikes targeting al-Qaida's local offshoot. McDonald's Corp reported slightly higher-than-expected July sales at established restaurants after the early return of its popular Monopoly promotion and new premium wrap sandwiches helped bring U.S. gains that offset weakness in Europe and Asia.
