Abortion in the United States Breaking News: Wisconsin Governor Signs New Abortion Restrictions Into Law

by Wochit 0:58 mins

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker signed into law new abortion restrictions that opponents said could lead to the closing of two of the state's four abortion clinics. As legislators in Texas prepare a last-ditch effort to pass a controversial abortion bill, senators in North Carolina convened for a surprise vote to add more restrictions to abortions in the state. A Texas House committee approved sweeping abortion legislation, setting up a new fight on the proposal that would, along with other restrictions, ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. The full chamber will take up the proposal.
