Bill Ackman, J.C. Penney Co Inc's top investor, fired back at the retailer's board, requesting that it meet as soon as possible so it can decide on matters including a new chairman. U.S. stocks moved between the tiniest of gains and losses as trading volume was light and there was little economic news to move the market. Asus has decided that developing Windows RT-based tablets isn't such a good idea. The company's CEO Jerry Shen tells the Wall Street Journal that Asus is getting out of the Windows RT market and that "the industry sentiment is also that Windows RT has not been successful." The Wall Street Journal has reported Samsung Electronics and its affiliate Cheil Industries will together buy Novaled for $347 million. Chiel, which makes electronic materials for OLED screens, will purchase a 50 percent chunk of Novaled, while Samsung will acquire 40 percent.
