Barnes & Noble Chief Executive Officer William Lynch has resigned effective immediately, the U.S. bookstore chain said on Monday. The news came just weeks after the company reported another quarter of dismal results. Trayvon Martin's father testified Monday that he never denied it was his son's voice screaming for help on a 911 call, contradicting police officers' earlier testimony at George Zimmerman's second-degree murder trial.Tracy Martin said that he merely told officers he couldn't tell if it was his son after his first time listening to the call. Martin added that he concluded it was his son after listening to the call as many as 20 times. Clearwire Corp. says its shareholders have voted in favor of selling the rest of its shares to majority owner Sprint Nextel Corp. Sprint hopes the deal will make it more competitive with bigger rivals Verizon Wireless and AT&T Inc. It had to raise its original bid to $5 per share for Clearwire to overcome a competing bid from Dish Network.
