America Breaking News: Obama Says GOP Opposition to Debt Limit 'deadbeat'

Setting up an impending new fight over the federal budget, President Barack Obama accused Republicans of acting like a "deadbeat" by refusing to raise the government's borrowing cap without spending cuts. Steven A. Cohen's $15 billion hedge-fund SAC Capital-Advisors is working on an agreement with U.S.-prosecutors,for an order to "reasonably protect all parties legitimate interests" as the firm faces criminal insider-trading-charges. A House of Representatives committee advanced a bill by a 22-17 vote along party lines to end Saturday delivery of first-class mail and eliminate direct-to-door delivery to help the struggling U.S. Postal Service shave costs. Lawmakers expect stiff opposition in the Senate.
