Asia Breaking News: Kerry Presses North Korea Over Nuke Disarmament

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry stepped up pressure on North Korea to give up its atomic weapons program, saying key regional powers, including Pyongyang ally China, are all "absolutely united" in demanding nuclear disarmament. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry continues his world diplomatic tour, this time in Asia. Kerry landed in the small sultanate of Brunei for a regional security conference. After having spoken to many leaders of the middle east, the Secretary of State is now scheduled to have a lengthy chat with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that likely will center on the Syrian crisis. He will also discuss the Edward Snowden crisis with Chinese officials. U.S. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew has said he will keep up pressure on China over cyber security. China recently accused the U.S. of "double standards" in cyber security after the flight from Hong Kong of fugitive former spy agency contractor Edward Snowden. The newly appointed secretary, however, differentiated his approach as an attempt to stop cyber theft.
