The judge presiding over the murder trial of George Zimmerman denied a defense request that jurors be instructed the neighborhood watch volunteer did nothing illegal in deciding to follow Trayvon Martin, before the encounter in which he shot and killed the unarmed black teenager. Alfonzo Dennard of the New England Patriots was arrested and accused of driving drunk in Lincoln, Nebraske where he once starred as a Nebraska defensive back. The judge ruled that the jury in the George Zimmerman second-degree murder trial will be allowed to consider the lesser charge of manslaughter.
