California Breaking News: Japanese Firm to Fight Nuke Plant Negligence Claim

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, the Japanese company that built corrosion-plagued steam tubes for California's San Onofre nuclear power plant, says it will fight allegations of wrongdoing by the plant's operator. Outgoing U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano was confirmed as president of the University of California despite an unruly protest by students from the prestigious 10-campus system that led to six arrests. Seventeen people were arrested in California after a protest against the acquittal of neighboorhood watchman George Zimmerman turned rowdy.
