The Federal government is set to reopen after the Republican-controlled House voted 285-144 to fund the government and extend the debt ceiling. The Senate had already approved the measure, 81-18. (Oct. 17)
bigboo's bro: The Wolff-Mann strikes again. The vast majority of the people who cite these excuses for not working are capable of working in some capacity. A good responsible path to helping the Social Security and Medicare programs would be a thorough revamping of the disability system. Their Medicaid benefits are not free. Other entitlements they receive are not free. The greatest mistake of the so-called Great Society programs is allowing people to think and act like these things are free.
