Disaster & Accident Breaking News: Service Honors 19 Hotshots Killed in Arizona Fire

by Wochit 0:57 mins

Thousands of firefighters from around the nation are paying their final respects at a memorial for 19 members of an elite Arizona Hotshot crew killed in a wildfire June 30. Blackened debris, twisted metal and gas leaks hampered rescue workers' search for perhaps dozens of bodies Tuesday, three days after a runaway oil train smashed into this small lakeside town, incinerating homes, a library and a crowded bar. Investigators looking into the crash of Asiana Flight 214 in San Francisco plan to interview the pilot who was at the controls when the slow-flying Boeing 777 clipped the seawall beyond the runway before slamming into the tarmac.
