U.K. air accident investigators are recommending that all Honeywell emergency transmitters should be temporarily disabled on Boeing 787s following a fire last week at London's Heathrow Airport. A U.S. expert who worked on the aftermath of the September 11 attacks is helping Canadian authorities sift through wreckage left more than a week after a runaway train barreled into a lakeside town in Quebec killing 50 people. Asiana Airlines said it has scrapped a plan to sue a U.S. television station that reported incorrect and racially offensive names of the names of pilots of the flight that crash-landed in San Francisco this month. In a statement, the South Korean airline said "Asiana Airlines has decided not to proceed with the case since KTVU has issued a formal apology and in order for us to focus all our efforts on managing the aftermath of the accident."
