Dreamliner Latest News: Polish Airline Says LOT to Continue Flying Dreamliners

Wochit
Polish flag carrier LOT said it would continue to operate its four Boeing 787 Dreamliners after a Dreamliner operated by Ethiopian Airlines caught fire at Britain's Heathrow. Shares of several Boeing suppliers fell after a fire broke out aboard a Dreamliner 787 aircraft parked at London's Heathrow airport, recalling a series of previous fires that had grounded Boeing's most advanced jet for months. A fire on an empty Boeing 787 Dreamliner plane forced Heathrow Airport to close both its runways, suspending all arrivals and departures. The airport said in a tweet that there were no passengers on the plane. Boeing spokesman Marc Birtel said in an email that the company had personnel on the ground at Heathrow and "is working to fully understand and address" the situation.
