Renewable energy is growing fast around the world and will be the second biggest source of electricity, after coal, by 2016, according to a five-year outlook published by the International Energy Agency. President Barack Obama tried to revive his stalled climate change agenda by promising new rules to cut carbon emissions from U.S. power plants and other domestic actions including support for renewable energy.
