Food News Pop: Paula Deen Hires Hollywood Power Lawyer Patty Glaser

Embattled celebrity chef Paula Deen is hiring Patricia Glaser, the litigator who handled Conan O'Brien's exit from NBC and recently represented Keith Olbermann in his litigation with Current TV, to help in her racial slur scandal. A proposal to create one bill for farm programs, which could come up for a vote shortly, and another for food stamp programs, was criticized by the Obama administration. KFC parent Yum Brands on Wednesday reported an estimated 10% drop in June sales at established restaurants in China - a smaller decline than in May when drastically lower sales related to the country's bird flu outbreak began to moderate. Shares are up slightly in after-hours trading.
