Gaming Console News Byte: Upcoming Xbox One to Drop DRM Restrictions, Internet Requirement After Public Backlash

Microsoft has caved to the hordes of angry gamers who have been loudly complaining about its policies for used games and connectivity requirements for its upcoming Xbox One console. According to the software giant, it sold 114,000 Xbox 360 units in the U.S. in May, leading all other console makers. By beating its competitors, Microsoft was able to nab its 29th consecutive month as the leading console seller in the U.S The Late Night host kicked off video game week on his show by inviting aboard Microsoft VP Phil Spencer and taking the Xbox One for a spin. Spencer touted the Xbox One as an all-in-one entertainment center with games, live TV, a new Kinect camera, and a revamped Xbox Live service coming in the fall.
