U.S. markets ended Wednesday's session mixed but one bright spot was the S&P 500 which closed at a new record. In corporate news, a fresh round of recalls from General Motors (GM) weighed on the shares. Mostly though, the marketw were fueled by strong earnings from some well-known names. One exception was Boeing (BA). The aerospace giant dragged the Dow Jones Industrials lower after it reported strong earnings. But, investors didn't like details in the report which included rising costs in its military tanker program. Facebook (FB) shares gained 3 percent ahead of its earnings release after the close on Wednesday. Big names set to report Thursday include General Motors, Amazon (AMZN) and Starbucks (SBUX). TheStreet's Susannah Lee has the details from New York.
