Wochit 1:20 mins

The Federal Trade Commission has finalized its settlement with Google over the company's alleged misuse of the standards-essential patents it gained as part of its $12.5 billion acquisition of Motorola Mobility in 2011. The final order requires Google to license those standards-essential patents on fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory or FRAND terms, and prevents the company from using them as a weapon against rivals by seeking product injunctions and importation bans based on them. Google Inc. unveiled a new version of its Nexus 7 tablet. The tech giant said the new device has more memory and features higher resolution images. The Nexus 7 will be the first device using Google's Android 4.3, the newest verion of the company's popular operating system. Shares of Google were up a fraction to $904.21. Meet the Chromecast. As the name suggests, it?s powered by Chrome and is designed to bring Google?s browser/OS to the biggest screen in the house.
