Earlier reports have claimed that Google is preparing to release a sequel to its popular Nexus 7 tablet. It has also been suggested that the second-generation slate will be priced higher than its predecessor. European Commission competition head Joaquin Almunia, in his continued efforts to crack down on Google?s alleged anticompetitive search practices, announced today at a news briefing that the concessions Google has offered ?are not enough to overcome our concerns.? Google has patched a security vulnerability that could have left Glass users with some major issues. Lookout Security discovered a flaw in Google Glass that allowed a malicious hacker to create a QR Code, and then after it was scanned by Glass, see all of the connections running through the search company's eyewear. The hacker could also deliver a payload over the Internet that would wreak havoc on Google Glass and possibly steal information.
