India Breaking News: Indian Cops Suspect Cooking Oil Container Held Pesticide in School Poisoning Case

Indian police suspect that India's worst outbreak of mass food poisoning in years was caused by cooking oil that had been kept in a container previously used to store pesticide, the magistrate overseeing the investigation said. Wal-Mart Stores Inc violated Indian rules governing foreign investment, the Central Bureau of Investigation said in a letter to a member of parliament and according to Reuters. Wal-Mart, the world's largest retailer, has denied the accusations and says it has cooperated with the government during the investigation. Tata Consultancy Services, India's largest software services exporter, posted a 17 percent rise in quarterly profit and maintained an upbeat outlook, fuelled by demand from the United States.
