As expected, Apple released its third beta of iOS 7, exactly two weeks after it came out with the second iteration of the software for developers. The new version includes some general performance improvements and fixes a number of issues that had cropped up in the second beta, including problems with iCloud, AirPlay, and the Messages application. Ahead of its five-year anniversary, Apple's App Store has started offering several popular applications, including Infinity Blade II and Tiny Wings, for free. Sales growth for the three-month period ending May was flat for Android but reached 3.5 percent for iOS, says Kantar Worldpanel ComTech.
